Jessica earned a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from California State University, Northridge. Jessica has over 10 years of
Pediatric experience. She makes every effort to continue to learn and develop her knowledge in the field of physical therapy.
In March 2017, Jessica earned a 44 hour Certificate in Aquatic Physical Therapy Clinical Competency
from the American Physical Therapy Association.
Aquatic Physical Therapy is the evidence-based and skilled practice of physical therapy in an aquatic environment by a licensed physical therapist. Aquatic Physical Therapy includes treatment, rehabilitation, prevention, health, wellness and fitness of client populations in an aquatic environment with the use of assistive, adaptive, or supportive devices and equipment.
Aquatic Physical Therapy can improve: range of motion, motor planning, body awareness, strength, balance, coordination, and more – ultimately resulting in improved functional outcomes.
"We had an amazing experience with Jessica. She is so patient and gentle with the kids. My son adores her and was excited to go in the water every week. He grew leaps and bounds this past summer and our PT attributed a lot of it to the extra aquatic therapy he received. I can’t thank Jessica enough for all she has done for my son."
"We love Jessica and Stepping Stones Physical Therapy. We started with her last summer and loved the sessions in her beautiful pool. Aquatic therapy is such a nice supplement to the other therapies we do for our child with cerebral palsy. She loves the water and Jessica is great at disguising therapy as fun water play. Highly recommend!"
"We had a wonderful experience with Jessica's Aquatic Physical Therapy. It was a great way to orient Jeremiah to the water/pool with the added benefit of getting additional therapy. We found that it was a good way to get therapeutic stretches in and loosen muscles; much more so, than in conventional therapy. Great way to start your Saturdays!”
